The Movie Database Support

I remember seeing on tv in the 80’s this movie/tv movie/tv show, don’t know which it was. The scene in question has a boy and a father figure in a boat. The boy sees a tattoo on the man’s arm, asks, “i thought you said we weren’t supposed to get tattoos.” The man replies that he got it in Auschwitz. Does anyone know what this is from?

I know you've asked this question many times in many places on the Web over the years. I'm just curious, when IMDb still had forums, did you happen to ask the Need To Know forum? I'd be surprised if they hadn't had the right answer. Now that those forums are gone, I doubt you'll get the right answer if you don't know any names of actors in the film/TV show based on your recollection of faces you saw in it.

UPDATE: See my next post, down below, about resurrected I Need to Know IMDb forum. It may be helpful.

This does sound familiar, but the only thing that comes to mind is the "V" mini series when Mr Bernstein shows his number. That wouldn't have been on a boat though,

filmboards.com reproduces the now-defunct IMDb forums and allows posting to them. If you're not a member, sign up for free and then on their list of forums, under the heading Trivia! Trivia! look for the I Need to Know forum and post your question. I think that will be your best chance of finding an answer, because a lot of rabid former IMDb forum users still post at those reproduced IMDb forums.

You can also Install the Film|Boards Chrome or Firefox browser extensions which insert the latest threads into every IMDb page and spread the word! You can also link your imdb.com and Film|Boards accounts, which gives you additional functionality.

Yes I asked on imdb before it got shut down, as well as hundreds of other forums over the years. I haven't found anyone who knows what I'm talking about.

Well, you might want to give it one more try at the resurrected I Need to Know IMDb forum at filmboards. If it's been a while, posting again might actually get a good answer. Unfortunately TMDb doesn't have such a forum, but who knows? Maybe they'll have one in the future.

Thanks I asked it there after you gave me the website

It may take a while, but someone may eventually know the answer. Good luck.
