If you have a high quality official poster, it cannot be cropped (or expanded) to the ideal aspect ratio (width x 1.5 = height OR 0.665 < width/height < 0.675), is it best to upload it in its original dimensions (it would have to be between 1:1.33 and 1:1.67) or crop it to get as close to the ideal aspect ratio as possible?

Similarly, I'm also asking in the case where that poster can't be uploaded in its original dimensions (because it's aspect ratio lies outside of 1:1.33 to 1:1.67), is it best to crop it as little as possible (to just fit into the acceptable range), or as much as possible to get as close to the ideal aspect ratio as possible?

EDIT: "As much as possible" WITHOUT destroying the image/chopping into text or logos.

Here is one such poster.

I'm not aware of any mod preference regarding these two issues. There are perhaps small benefits to both keeping the full original poster (or a bigger part of the original poster) and having a ratio as close to the ideal ratio as possible. But -- sorry for being a broken record -- every poster is different.
