The Movie Database Support

Hey there,

I am currently implementing a client to keep track of ongoing movie changes. And I could use a hint for the process of a movie being transformed to a collection:

Whenever a movie is changed to be a collection from now on, this change will be provided using the changes API in two ways: First, the movie will be present in the "GET /movie/changes" list, and secondly a corresponding item will be present in "GET /movie/{movie_id}/changes", saying that the "_type" changed from "Movie" to "Collection". In this case I can delete the movie reference, that the I might have in my local cache, because this entity is no longer a movie, right? What happens, if this exact Collection is transformed back to a movie? Is this even possible? And if so, will there be an entry in "GET /movie/changes" for this ID? Will there even be a "create" event or something similiar?

In addition I found an entry where a movies "_type" was changed to "Movies Series" (e.g. id 365774 [adult content]). What's the difference between a Collection and a "Movies Series"?

Thanks in advance,

jago42

Hi @JaGo42,

There's no change log entry on the movie when it gets added to a collection. I have an open ticket for that here actually.

A collection is a Movie Series. No difference, it's the same thing.
