Newbie question: Is there a way to remove a poster I've uploaded, to replace it by an improved version? (adjustments, better resolution, etc.) I know I could just upload the new version and not care about the inferior one, but that seems to me a bit wasteful of disk space. Thanks.

Mods can remove images. After the new version is uploaded, use the "Report" button to report the old one as a duplicate (add a link to the one you want removed in the Extra Details box).

Just as an FYI: even after the image is removed from the list of posters, the image is not deleted and it remains on disk to prevent link rot. Disk space is relatively cheap so it's not an issue. But still nice to remove duplicates if they are in fact duplicates.

Wouldn't it be possible to just save the Image URL and redirect it to a "Content Deleted" page or a duplicate poster of better quality?

Or is the point of not actually deleting them that so one could access the image if they had the URL?

Sorry if my phrasing is a little off, English is not my first language.

Hi Viktor,

The point is to not remove it at all so you can still access it since there's probably a lot of clients that may have grabbed the URL when it was considered valid.

Got it! Thanks!
