The Movie Database Support

with the upcoming API https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/upcoming?api_key=API_KEY&include_adult=false&language=English&sort_by=popularity.desc&page=1&include_video=false

It should list the upcoming movies that not yet on theater. But as see, most of them in the list already released. some of them even from 2016 October.

Hi there,

First off, most of the parameters you're specifying are not supported by that method, so there's no point on specifying them.

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/upcoming?api_key=###&language=en-US&page=1

Is a correct call.

Secondly, you'll want to specify a region to get more exact results. To get the list that matches the website, your query would look like this:

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/upcoming?api_key=###&language-en-US&region=CA|US

Upcoming is just a templated discover query so if you want to make changes beyond the supported list of parameters, you can switch to movie discover and do everything custom exactly how you want it.

I just confirm than Upcoming doesnt work well. with this request for France (no region) :

 https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/upcoming?api_key=###&language=fr

First result are Wonder Woman and its already released, same for John Wick 2 after etc. I know I can make my own request , but this one didnt work. :(

Hi @Zemovie

As outlined in the docs (and above for that matter), the language parameter has nothing to do with locale or region. You'll want to use the region param.

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/upcoming?api_key=###&language-fr-FR&region=FR

Is the query you're looking for.

Remember though, the query is only as good as the data we have added for France.

oh sorry, thanks for your time.
