Is there a way to subscribe or watch a whole forum topic (like an actor, a movie, etc)?

I have certain artists, movies, TV shows I am interested in. I would like to get a notification when anyone posts a reply to an existing thread or a new thread in any of my favorite topics. It could be a single notification to let me know there is new content in a forum I am interested in.
I don't see a way to do that. If there is no way to do that, consider this a feature request.

When no one has posted to a item yet, there is a button to click to be notified when someone makes the first discussion.
Ironically, once you're on that list there's no way to get off of it right now. This will be the feature you're asking about, I just have to add some logic to expose it when items have discussions. I've created a new ticket for this here.

Second that. I really miss that feature. Now I have to just search every time i want to check out for new threads for the things i'm interested in.

I came here to ask the same question. One issue that TMDB has (and we will hopefully overcome) is lack of active discussions in many films. I believe this type of notification will be so helpful as often I am the first (in which case I can "watch" the forum), or the second (in which case I am not) person to show up in a forum for discussion. I want to help the TMDB community grow, and one way we can do that is by encouraging active discussions. As always, thanks @travisbell for all your work on TMDB!
