Hi @ausfem ! The database is a collective effort and everyone is welcome to help out. The on-screen credits, official websites, press websites, press kits, press releases, distributor and producer websites usually are good source of info!

What about IMDB and Wikipedia? is info from those sites allowed?
You can copy/paste some things from Wiki and IMDb (cast, crew, air dates, titles), but it is always best to double check their accuracy. The data on both sites is mostly contributed by users and people make mistakes. Just don't copy text from IMDb, though, it's copyrighted.
IMDb is a good reference point for popular movies since they tend to catch (and merge) persons credited with different names and so on, but try to use at least one more source to compare/confirm. Note that from my experience, Wiki often (but not always) has IMDb as a source so better find some other source if possible (if you are also using IMDb).
