The Movie Database Support

I think the site is great but what is in need of improvement is the Recommendations on individual titles. How can users help to make the recommendations more inline with similar movies/TV shows. At the moment it seems to be very random.

I believe those are based on ratings and favorites. So I guess one thing users can do to help improve recommendations is import their data. :)

@banana_girl is correct 👍🏼

If you'll please look at the following Movies forum new discussion thread, it mentions what seems like a Recommendations bug: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/16081-doctor-dolittle/discuss/5d42d429d8cc4a00143525c9

All of the current recommendations (with sole exception of the Mister Magoo one) showing at the bottom of the Doctor Dolittle Overview page are decidedly incompatible (segregation fight, war criminal documentary, crime, etc.) with Dolittle in just about every way.

Hey @genplant29, movie and TV recommendations don't use favourites in any way, those are 100% based on user ratings. Only account recommendations use favourites.

P.S. The new recommendations system is being planned and discussed internally so with a little patience we'll have a significantly better system. One pretty awesome improvement is that recommendations are going to be personalized based on your watch history. Good stuff is coming.
