I want the ability to mark movies/shows with "Watch Later", and in such cases where they are not released (or an upcoming episode of a show) I'd like to have it in a calendar (with support for exporting, iCal or some format). I'm currently treating the "Watchlist" as a list of movies/shows I already have watched, not sure if this is intentional.
I'm aware that I can do this with the API (and I have a prototype), but it would be nice to have as a feature on the site (and API) itself.
Love the new website design by the way!

Hi p3lim,
The watchlist is designed to work the way you're asking (movies to watch). Rated would be movies you already have watched. There's even a nice feature where once you rate a movie that's on your watchlist, it's automatically removed from your watchlist.
Now, about a calendar type feature, yes, this is something I would like to get to. I am just not sure when I will have time. My list of things to do extends well into 2017... but I can tell you that my focus for the rest of the year is the website so lots of good stuff will be getting done. Hopefully a calendar type feature is one of those ;)

Sorry for the necro bump, but it's been a few years since I brought this up.
Rating movies to flag them as "watched" is fine for manual tracking, but automated tracking (e.g. through plugins for Netflix, Plex etc) is not feasible.
I like this website, as I find it better to navigate than sites like Simkl or Trakt, but this is a showstopper for me at least. Keep up the good work!

Yup, I agree. I would like to dip my toes in this area but the problem is the prioritization of my extremely limited resources. I'm not able to get as much done as I used to since running TMDb is a full time job by itself which leaves me next to no time to do engineering and design like I did back in the day.
There is some customer driven requests that fall into this area though. Anything customer driven like this is much more likely to get done than anything else so keep crossing your fingers and maybe you'll see something arrive in 2019.

Another few years, checking in to see if there has been any updates on this. As far as I can tell from the API documentation there isn't a way, so I'm assuming the customer request you got in 2018 didn't pan out or didn't affect this request.
