I just tried to add a overview to the Norwegian movie NOKAS, however the validation fails, saying "It seems as though you are entering text in Norwegian while browsing in Norwegian bokmål."
While Norwegian nynorsk and bokmål (no_NB and no_NN) are different dialects, just Norwegian (no_no) refers to our language and in most cases, no_NB and no_NN does not need to be separated.
I guess in short, there is no need to differentiate between no_NO, nb_NO and nn_NO in translations or have all 3 categories.

Hi SelfDestructor,
This will require some work to treat all 3 the same and unfortunately I don't have time to look at this for the next little while. I've created a new ticket for this here and will try to get to it at some point.
A breakdown of the counts on TMDb:
no-NO
: 1778nb-NO
: 460nn-NO
: 0So it looks like the majority of our Norwegian users are browsing/editing in
no-NO

nn-NO is a little used (but government required) side language in Norway. "Norwegian" and "Norwegian bokmål" should just be merged.
I ran into this problem after spending several minutes transcribing the back of a Norwegian DVD, then having it all deleted because it detected "Norwegian" instead of "Norwegian bokmål", which is the exact same thing.

Yes, this is true. "Norwegian" and "Norwegian bokmål" is identical and should be merged. Btw, my Chrome returns
nb
, while Firefox and IE returnsnb-no
(in lowercase). That said, I tried to edit Translated Overview (Bokmål) in Firefox, but still got the same error. Translated Tagline (Bokmål) is saved, but not the Overview. The only difference I can see is the letter case.

Hey guys,
I haven't completed any work to merge these languages together from a translation perspective but I did just push a whole new translation detection system so if you can give it a go and see how it works, that would be great.
It's possible I still have to make some tweaks but the new system is a lot easier to use so if you have any problems I can fix them faster.
Thanks for your patience with this.
