The Movie Database Support

Hi everyone,

While developing an android application which uses TMDB for movie/TV Shows, I noticed that searching a movie by either title/id does not return the rating. It provides vote average, vote count and popularity, but no rating.. Am I missing something here? Or there is a work around to get the respective rating?

What rating are you looking for? The vote_average is the "rating" we show on the website. Unless you're talking about the content (like TV-MA in the U.S.)?

Hi Travis,

I am trying to get the same (contentRating), but how do i get that for a specific movie or TV Show? Like if i would like to get the PG-13 for Lets say Mission Impossible - Fallout?

Hi @VikingCoder,

For movies, you're looking for the /release_dates method. It contains the certification. For TV, you're looking for the /content_ratings method.

Remember, you can use append_to_response to do these queries in a single HTTP call:

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/tv/1399?api_key=###&append_to_response=content_ratings
