The Movie Database Support

I am sure there was a reason for this change and that there are some benefits to this change, but so far it is a PITA! (Usually, the rule is: If it ain't broken, DON'T fix it!)

  1. When creating, having to open a window for each new addition is an extra very annoying step.
  2. After selecting an individual, the field focus remains on the individual instead of moving to the character field.
  3. Why are cancel and save in reverse positions?
  4. It is no longer possible to move cast members to their correct positions, AND THIS IS A CRITICAL LOSS!

Please either fix this format change or revert to the previous format for Crew and Cast.

Regards, Bob

Hi Bob,

Usually, the rule is: If it ain't broken, DON'T fix it!

It was broke, so we fixed it :D

When creating, having to open a window for each new addition is an extra very annoying step.

This was the last main editing piece that hadn't been migrated to the new "grid-style" editing interface. This brings it to be consistent with basically every other interface instead of being the odd one out. It is now the same interface on all of TV and movies.

After selecting an individual, the field focus remains on the individual instead of moving to the character field.

That's some thing I can add. The ticket for that is here.

Why are cancel and save in reverse positions?

I believe it's the same as everywhere now (cast & crew, alternative titles, release dates, etc...) reversed compared to where?

It is no longer possible to move cast members to their correct positions, AND THIS IS A CRITICAL LOSS!

It's not gone forever, you can another post about this here.

Aside from the auto focus change and the eventual re-implementation of cast sorting nothing else will change. Consistency is important and this is the last interface to get the update so that everything is edited in the same style and interface.
