I jump in even if I haven't deleted it. If I see it right is your mentioned entry a collection of episodes. TMDB just supports movies, shorts and TV Series and not DVD compilations. TMDB is not a DVD / BluRay database.
You guys really need to rethink that premise, believe it or not TMDB is being used heavily by user products like XBMC to link DVD content. In general it does a great job with the exception of DVD content that are not actual films.
We have never supported this kind of content. This has been our policy since day one. Our database is not setup to support it and we don't have the means to classify it properly. Those technical issues aside, truthfully, we're also not very interested in storing it. TMDb is a movie and TV database and like Mec!as said, not a disc database.
It'd also be really helpful to be notified when a movie you've captured has been deleted, and the reason for the deletion - rather than it simply disappearing. I've captured a number of kids DVD content recently (so that it can be pulled into my xbmc library) only to find it disappear the following day.
andyg80, we try to send out e-mails as often as possible, but our time is limited. Some kind of notification system (where the user gets a message when his/her entry is deleted) is an interesting idea though.
