TV has been brought out of the private preview and is now available for everyone to see.
Please read the information below.
Please understand that this is indeed a preview. While there was plenty I could test while I was developing this feature on TMDb, being stuck in a vacuum like that can only expose so many things. If you find a bug please report it on this thread.
What I would like you guys to do is search for your favourite shows and look through the data that was imported. We're still importing data in the background so not all of your favourite shows will be here yet. This import is expected to take a few more days still (as of October 10, 2013). Please do not report missing shows until I have said the import is done.
When you're looking through things, there's one primary thing I would like you to keep an eye out for and that is, shows that should clearly have a season or more but don't. There was a small issue that seems to have affected a percentage of shows (I think around 2%) where their seasons were not imported. Please report those below.
What can you help with?
The data that was imported is real world editable data. If you see an error, fix it. This is the point of giving you guys access. With more of you trying to edit different things we'll discover the bugs and issues faster. There's a list of known issues below.
Known Issues / Pending Features
Closed Issues

The initial import of data for all 60,522 shows is complete.

Hey Travis, I must be doing something wrong, I go to tv section on the website and it shows me the placeholder, I don't have access to TV data.

The placeholder won't change. Searching for a show, or trying to access one should work though.

I'm not sure how detailed feedback you want, but for Teletubbies the covers for season 2, 3, 7, 9, 10 and 11 were wrong. Also, season 11 is not there when you click it. Maybe not imported yet?
Disclaimer: I only checked Teletubbies because I was deleting some entries from the movie section. ;)

Any image issue you can just go ahead and fix manually, those won't be fixed by the importer. Some will be wrongly associated, just delete them if that's the case.
I'll look into season 11. Thanks.
Sure, that's why… ;)

OK, good to know. All this is very impressive, btw!
Another small issue. What about actors listed as appearing in, for example, season one, when they first appear in a later season? Should that be fixed now or can it wait for later?

Yup, they can certainly be fixed now. For series that seem to have "complete enough" data, there won't be any more importing done.
I'm in the middle of writing up some documentation for all of this but it's a lot of stuff!
One thing I'll mention to keep an eye out for that can save you a lot of time for actors that should be part of every season but might only appear in an earlier season, if you head down and find their entry in an earlier season, you can just click to edit them and then select "Add to every season". That will sync that credit up across every season. Super simple.

Hi,
like it so far. Just a question about the Air date in a Translated surface like german. Noticed it is the original air date from the USA, are we changing it under the translations to the date when it was first aired in german for instance or relates this field always to the original date???

Hi Mec!as,
So far, you can only edit the "original air date". Nothing country specific. There will be at some point a country area where you can enter (most likely) the broadcast network and original air date for a particular country.

Perfect thank you. This should be mentioned somewhere, I guess it will get translated from users because it is next to the episode description in the specific language. The first one is changing it from US to GER and the next one to French. There might be at the end quite a inconsistency in the Air dates.

I would love to have a look at the TV section :)!
Do you intend it to be an alternative to TVDB? Do we need another TV database or is it based on their DB anyways?

sp1ti, I've given you access.
To answer your question about data, the data is not from TVDb but most of the images are. We've got our eyes on something a little bigger than "just another" TV database. We're in the process of building a complete platform and there's no way to build it without TV.
