I'm having a hard time finding the guideline for picture uploads. Due to how we store references to movies/series in MythTV it can happen that we search at the thetvdb for a seriesid but end up pulling the data from themoviedb. So recordings from e.g The Mentalist at thetvdb http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=82459 end up with artwork from Home Made Masturbation 8 https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/82459-home-made-masturbation-8?language=en (NSFW) After looking up the guideline of the internet adult film database (http://www.iafd.com/faq.asp Why aren't there any naked pictures along with the filmographies? ) I'm wondering if similar guidelines would be a good fit over here. Basically store metadata about porn without providing porn itself.

Each person and movie on the API has an adult field so you will need to make sure MythTV is set to ignore those if they are detected to be true.
We have always allowed adult content but everything is filtered by default. Both the website and API search do not show any adult info unless you explicitly enable it within your account or with the
?include_adult=trueparam.There is nothing we can do from preventing a request to an id that happens to be an adult item though. You will just have to make sure MythTV ignore ids with the adult boolean set to true.

My post was worded badly, leading to the reason I stumbled upon the artwork getting in the foreground when it was just ment to be the introduction.
I would appreciate some documentation on pictures and some way to mark single pictures for removal/replacement, but mostly to get rid of duplicates and really bad quality. Maybe you can clarify the adult topic while at it. Similar to how its done for TV content. E.g explain the combination of the adult flag and the content. I like the clear guidelines on http://fanart.tv/movie-fanart/ (high quality, no frame around it, etc)
