A love story between a country boy in Beijing to study and a wealthy businessman set against the backdrop of the 1989 Tiananmen Square incident.

Dr. Ho decides to move to a backward island off the coast of Taiwan to look for his missing father. He meets nurse Ya Lan (Cheng Pei-Pei) who falls in love with him. But dastardly doings are afoot as Dr. Ho's enemies plot against him.

What she really wants is to experience first love (with Ekin Cheng, a marketing executive) and become a movie star. Both which are fulfilled in her stay in Hong Kong.

In the silence of the night, the demonic wolf devours the moon, after which the lights of the Heavenly Pavilion go out one by one. Zhan Zhao, the “Imperial Cat”, and Bai Yu Tang, the “Golden Mouse”, work together to detect a series of strange deaths in Bianliang City and return the people to a peaceful life.
