In Other People's Mirrors, the camera feels like an extension of the unstable characters it is following, taking on a near-home-movie style documentation of street performance and improvised art. It centers around the journey of Echo Transgression, a schizophrenic sex addict, who believes that if she follows the instructions being transmitted directly into her spine, then she will escape to her own version of nirvana. Underground legend Nick Zedd plays the alien phantom of Narcissus, a secret agent who makes sure she stays on course.

The young machine operator Fyodor Soloveikov marries Stesha from a neighboring village and moves to live with her parents in a house. Young and energetic, he suffocates in the petty bourgeois world of the family, living away from collective farm life. Quarrels arise between young people, where old men pour oil of discord. Not receiving proper support from his wife, Fyodor leaves home.

The sympathetic farmers couple, Mads and Katrine (Hass Christensen and Malberg) are marked by their daughter's death. Katrine has to avoid other children. When Mads invites six city children for the summer holiday, however, old traumas are recovered.

The main characters want to be alone but random events force them to meet each other's eyes.

Soon, he goes fishing with them and decides to hide the inflatable boat as a joke. Angry guys beat an innocent boy, after which Zhenya understands that it is better to refuse such a friendship…

So when Mary suddenly requests they open their relationship to “ethical non-monogamy”, Mark is taken by surprise, but agrees to try it. And that's where this story really begins.

Two generations of cinematographers — fathers and children — in search of a new common language: in life, on the screen, on the set...

Jean-Francois and Angie have known each other for 25 years and have been lovers on and off for most of that time. After two marriages (one ending in divorce, the other with her husband's death) and two children, the free-spirited Angie has returned to Jean-Francois, only to announce after a year of living together that she's leaving him to open a antique business in the United States. Jean-Francois regrets Angie's decision, but also knows her well enough to know there's little he can do to change her mind. Five years later, Jean-Francois has become friends with Angie's daughter Winnie, who now lives in Paris and has fallen in love with Laurent, a carefree artist who lives in a studio given to him by his father. However, after sleeping with Laurent, Winnie is convinced he can't be trusted and keeps him at a distance. Over the next few years, Laurent keeps running into Winnie, and Angie periodically arrives at Jean-Francois' doorstep only to leave again shortly after.

Drawn from Zaman’s five-year collaboration with a group of Black and Global Majority women affected by incarceration, this engaging work interrogates the intersections of structural racism, classism and misogyny.
