Line Of Sight is a rare view into underground bicycle messenger racing which has become a global phenomenon. For over a decade Lucas Brunelle has been riding with the fastest, most skilled urban cyclists around the world while capturing all the action with his customized helmet cameras to bring you along for the ride.

Repurposing techniques such as spoken word, ASCII art and coding, the protagonist in this film navigates his own conflicted, chaotic memories. While he lets his imagination roam freely, the film unfolds through a series of vignettes. With Line of Sight, Ali Eslami manages to find a new way to articulate our inner realm and explore a displaced and fragmented sense of self. The result is as playful as it is frightening.

Pedro returns to the castle of his childhood, inhabited by his uncle, an indifferent being who scarcely notices his presence. At the castle, Pedro wanders between the park and the salons, playing the songs he composed on the guitar. He notices strange people around the castle.

Made for the retrospective of the same title at the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, the film traces the Cuban-American painter’s artistic journey from Havana to New York and Paris.

Line of sight is the story of LAILA, a woman in her early twenties who has to revisit the choices she made in her life after an encounter with a car thief, who had made unusual choices himself.
