In a beautiful garden called Ecos, there are a variety of creatures there who neatly fulfill vital roles in the healthy ecological system of the area. However, this state of reasonable environmental harmony is disrupted when a new species of grub like creatures begin to ravish the land of a needed fruit. This folly leads to the disruption of the environment of the garden while this greed leads to a series of events that have tragic consequences.

Ecosystem is an analogy between the city of Buenos Aires and a garden. Through irony, it tells how the trees and the weeds hoard most of the nutrients, thus opening an inevitable breach with the rest of the garden, which struggles to survive.

Finnish open source community Electric cars – Now! converted a Toyota Corolla from an internal combustion engine car to an electric car in 2009. Why on earth? Electric cars can be seen in traffic everywhere these days. Many people might not think that in early 2000s Finland, they were science fiction fantasy. The community wanted to show the car industry: it started converting combustion engine cars to electric ones and sharing the conversion instructions online. The purpose was to spark a revolution in which all cars in the world could be converted to emission-free. The project received considerable publicity. Finland was seen as a pioneer in the electric car industry. Where did the eCorollas disappear? Or is the time of conversion electric cars yet to come?

Ecosystem-6: A Sort of Mycelium is a mesmerizing compound of patterns found in the organic world. Static elements – ropes, a forest – come to life, while living sea creatures like an octopus or a starfish resemble ornamental patterns in motion. Inspired by the elaborate chaos systems present in nature, Koike creates an exuberant and splendid new dimension to explore.

The attempt for these video works became the driving force to produce Ecosystem-5- A Tremulous Stone which was the starting point of later Ecosystem series."
