Nel 1947 una coppia di giovani sposi angloamericani, Fred e Jennifer, tornano a Capri nei luoghi dove si sono incontrati durante la guerra e dove sono stati felici. Prima, però, fa una capatina a Roma dove rivede Rosa, una bella e disponibile ragazza con la quale, ai tempi della guerra, aveva vissuto un'appassionata storia d'amore.

Richard Strauss' last stage work is an opera about opera as an art form, depicting the creation of a music drama in a wise and witty way. Which came first the words or the music? That is the question Strauss and his librettist Clemens Krauss address through the story of a Countess torn between a composer and a poet.

Ostensibly a non-narrative study of various aspects of a rural winter, this short film by one of modern Hungarian cinema’s greatest visual poets has all the spellbinding qualities of his better-known feature debut Sindbad (Szindbád, 1971), but here allied to a winning sense of humour that’s never quite allowed to detract from the haunting beauty of many of the images. The end of autumn is heralded by a few red leaves still clinging to a statue’s sculpted robes, while whip pans across the increasingly wintry landscape and close-ups of rippling water are given character by seemingly random freeze-frames and Zoltán Jeney’s electronic chirrups on the soundtrack. There are recurring shots of birds, migrating en masse, huddled by the icy water or lying individually dead, frozen stiff in the snow. So far Capriccio has been a reasonably generic mood piece, but then the snowmen arrive…

Dopo che Madoka ha scoperto che Kyōsuke è stato il suo primo amore, i due sono arrivati alla fine delle scuole superiori e si preparano alle prove d'ammissione per entrare all'Università. Dopo anni di esitazioni e titubanze, Kyōsuke Kasuga decide finalmente di fare una scelta fra le due ragazze che provano sentimenti per lui, ovvero la seducente Madoka Ayukawa e la sua migliore amica la piccola Hikaru Hiyama, con cui teoricamente è già fidanzato. Ciò nonostante Kyōsuke decide di farsi coraggio, rompere con Hikaru e dichiararsi a Madoka, con cui finalmente si fidanza. Tuttavia Hikaru non prenderà bene la decisione e non si rassegnerà alla decisione di Kyōsuke, che dovrà mostrarsi più duro di quanto abbia mai fatto in vita sua. Alla fine Hikaru riuscirà a trovare nella recitazione nei musical la ragione per andare avanti.

Pasqualito makes Antonio promise that he would not see Concha. However, when Antonio meets Concha, she seduces him and the long friendship between Antonio and Pasqualito is disrupted

A trio of American crooks board a ship bound for Europe, intending to get rid of $100,000 in stolen dough. With detective John Wade breathing down their necks, the crooks stash the loot in the trunk belonging to vacationing schoolmarm Mary Smith.

Rossi, “La bambinaia” di M. Monicelli. Spiccano il 1° e il 4° con Totò, e non soltanto perché furono gli ultimi film che interpretò. Quello di Pasolini fa perno su una sgangherata e buffissima rappresentazione di Otello in una compagnia napoletana di marionette.

Una bellissima insegnante di musica americana arriva a Venezia e incontra un artista licenzioso che la conduce nelle squallide viscere dell'antica città in un pericoloso mondo di promiscuità sessuale. La loro sperimentazione diventa sempre più pericolosa e la nostra eroina deve decidere se continuare su questa strada o staccarsi prima che sia troppo tardi.
