Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch prophesies the events of 1492, the start of the modern world.

Filmed by Jean Eustache for the television program, Les Enthousiastes, Hieronymus Bosch's Garden of Delights presents a series of unstructured observations, free associations, and interpretations on the third panel of Bosch's well-known oil on wood triptych.

In 2016, the Noordbrabants Museum in the Dutch city of Den Bosch held a special exhibition devoted to the work of Hieronymus Bosch, who died 500 years ago. This late-medieval artist lived his entire life in the city, causing uproar with his fantastical and utterly unique paintings in which hell and the devil always played a prominent role.

Nei boschi vicino a Vienna, un cerbiatto aspetta vicino a un castello in rovina che la statua di un fauno venga toccata dai raggi dell'alba e prenda così vita. Il cerbiatto e il fauno passano quindi la giornata insieme giocando, facendosi vari scherzi e prendendosi gioco dei cani dei cacciatori. Quando si avvicina il tramonto, il fauno torna sul suo piedistallo e i due si salutano, ma il cerbiatto viene trovato dai cani e inseguito finché non rimane appeso a una rupe. Sentendo le urla dell'amico, il fauno corre in suo soccorso e lo aiuta ad arrampicarsi, quindi torna sul piedistallo appena in tempo per ritrasformarsi in pietra.
