A young rock singer, Morgan, falls in love with the pretty Julie. But Dimitri, Julie's "ex", doesn't see it that way.

Based on the true story of two chambermaids (the Papin sisters) of 1930s France who murdered their employer and her daughter. Christine Papin and Léa Papin are sisters with an already troubled past. Madame Lancelin takes them into her home and employs the girls as maids. Christine sees in Madame Lancelin an ideal mother figure — in spite of her severity. But their wretched background — an indifferent mother and drunken abusive father — casts a shadow over the girls and over time their ill-fated situation darkens. The sisters withdraw into themselves and finish by committing the worst — killing Madame Lancelin and her daughter after six years of service, on the 2 February 1933 in Le Mans.

Vincent, still of tender age, has already tattooed most of his body and hoarsened his voice with his post-hardcore band – his way of venting his frustrations and desires. Ever since his mother died, he shares his time between Porte de Clignancourt and Bastille, between a piercer job he is unhappy with and his fishmonger father, Hervé, who is trying to start a new life with a younger woman named Julia. Vincent is initially appalled by the woman, with whom his father has ‘betrayed’ his mother, but the more they get to know each other, the more he becomes intrigued by the beautiful and empathetic woman. Unlike his father, she shows interest in him, even attending one of his gigs. What starts out as a potential way of reconciling with his father soon implodes.

The murder of a woman in an abandoned house is the first murder this rural French island has had in 100 years. Or is it? A cop who left the island 20 years earlier and a young intern who moved away when she was six years old - but doesn't remember those first six years of her life - team up to solve the murder and some other mysteries that develop during the course of their investigation.

It's the unforgivable story of the two hundred thousands harkis, the Arabs who fought alongside the French in the bitter Algerian war, from 1954 to 1962. Why did they make that choice? Why were they slaughtered after Algeria's independence? Why were they abandonned by the French government? Some fifty to sixty thousands were saved and transferred in France, often at pitiful conditions. This is for the first time, the story of this tragedy, told in the brilliant style of the authors of "Apocalypse".

Blandine arrives at the Charles de Gaulle Airport, seeking a reunion with her husband Papi in Paris. Despite articulate claims for asylum, she is held in a cramped cell along with a number of fellow Africans, humiliated, mistreated and told that they can expect immediate deportation. Papi enquires of her whereabouts at Arrivals, and is met with disinterested, misleading responses. When Blandine is hurt in a skirmish on the runway as the authorities try and force her out of the country, circumstances and a sympathetic employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs save her from expulsion. She is finally reunited with Papi in a communal squat, its inhabitants sharing harrowing stories of their time in France. With work, money and food scarce, and her confidence shaken by her less than warm welcome to the country, Blandine cannot find the enthusiasm to leave her damp mattress.

In their own voice, the former miners of the uranium mines in a Gabonese village tell us how they were forgotten by the French nuclear industry. The question gravitates: What does the future hold for them? Since the closure of its uranium mines, the small town of Mounana has been forgotten. Today, the former miners, having worked all their lives for the French nuclear industry, fear for their health and that of their families and must deal with the daily life in a region that is said to be polluted. In the depths of the Gabonese forest, between the memory of a prosperous past and the reality of a painful present, they must redouble their efforts to build a future and live with dignity.

A rereading of my artistic viewpoint with regards to an intimate wound, this filmic introspection is constructed from a quotation from Querelle de Brest by Jean Genet and from a text that I had written, read and associated with certain excerpts from my videos. I develop the idea that a violent sexual humiliation is the cause of a painful wandering which leads to a voluntary closing down into the confines of oneself in order to protect oneself from the violence of the other. Subsequently, there arises a desire to escape and a thirst for vengeance which is materialised in the act of creation which enables one to appropriate the stigmata in pushing them to their most extreme consequence and, in doing so, recover one’s voice by way of an orifice which is usually deprived of such expression.
