The 1988 Walt Disney World 4th of July Spectacular, originally aired on ABC July 3rd 1988. It’s important to remember back in 1988, marketing of Walt Disney World and Disneyland was still separate so this wasn’t a Disney Parks presentation, but a Walt Disney World Celebration of America.

The 1990 WDW Fourth of July Spectacular followed a similar format to the previous year’s: highlighting what’s new at Walt Disney World, checking in at Disneyland, and showcasing Disney recording artists.

Host John Ritter takes us on a 2-hour musical whirlwind tour on Independence Day. Many musical acts are featured in this show that switches back and forth from the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Epcot Center, Disney –MGM Studios, and Disneyland.
