The story revolves around Haruka Nanase, a boy who has always loved to be immersed in water, and to swim in it. Before graduating from elementary school, he participated in a swimming tournament along with his fellow swimming club members, Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, and Rin Matsuoka. After achieving victory, each of the boys went their separate ways. Time passed, and in the middle of their uneventful high school lives Rin appears and challenges Haruka to a match, showing Haruka his overwhelming power. Not wanting it to end like this, Haruka, gathers together Makoto and Nagisa once again and brings a new member named Rei Ryugazaki to create the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club in order to defeat Rin.

The Dive From Clausen's Pier is a 2005 Lifetime original film based on an Ann Packer novel directed by Harry Winer and starring Will Estes, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Sean Maher. It premiered on July 25, 2005 on Lifetime.

Mike is a quadriplegic after suffering a major diving accident. His fiancée, Carrie, is not in love with him anymore and is confused and lost after the accident. As a result, she decides to move to Manhattan and away from her small town life. Along the way she meets a handsome, older man who has problems of his own. Carrie tries to figure out where her place in the world is in a journey of self discovery.

Many of the characters in the film are in their late teens or early twenties, while in the source novel they are much older. The film also ends on a slightly more optimistic tone than the novel.

Diverted is a 2009 CBC made-for-TV movie. It was directed by Alex Chapple. The movie was written by Tony Marchant.

Starting from Kalymnos, their island, and its surroundings, the boat yards where they built their boats, the traditional ways of sponge diving and the testimonies of the protagonists, captains and divers hit by the divers' disease, and moving on to show the sponge manufacture, the world-unique museum where they guard their tradition, and the folklore artists who chronicle it in their own way.

Divided by the same family tragedy that once bonded them closer than ever before, two grown siblings left with numerous unanswered questions regarding their mother's murder struggle to find a common ground after the daughter of one is badly injured in a horrific farming accident. Marian and her younger sister Hanna were forever scarred when, one fateful night twenty years ago, their mother was murdered under mysterious circumstances. In the aftermath of the murder, Marian remained in the Mennonite farming community where the pair were raised, giving birth to a little girl as Hanna departed for Chicago to launch her writing career. One day, when Marian's six year old daughter Rebecca is injured in a terrible farming accident, Hanna returns home intending to help her sister and niece.

"Diverse Disability" is a fictional short film that takes us into the lives of various deaf and blind characters, facing various challenges in a world that often excludes them. Set in Guatemala, the film addresses sensitive issues such as sexuality, work, health and the lack of empathy towards people with disabilities. As the stories intertwine, the short film highlights the importance of empathy, inclusion, and mindset change in Guatemalan society. The narrative highlights how ignorance and lack of understanding can affect the participation of people with disabilities in the social and productive life of the country. Through these moving stories, "Disapacidad Diversa" seeks to raise awareness and promote a positive change in the perception and treatment of the diverse disability community in Guatemala.
