Everything must change, thought Hermann Hesse. In the spring of 1919, he packed his bags and left for Ticino. The horror of the First World War had thrown him off course. The poet hoped that the climate and light of the south would give him a new lease on life and creative energy beyond the confines of bourgeois conventions. With the story Klingsors letzter Sommer (Klingsor’s Last Summer), Hesse wrote himself into a summer-long intoxication that was unprecedented for him. At the precipice, however, doom and death await.

Nicaraguan women tell us about their efforts to change the society in which they live, and about their collective struggle to achieve what has been denied to them. The Fisherman's Son is a film that finally explores Navarro's life in depth, following the trajectory of a boy who came from a fishing family, one of many that have long earned their livelihood from the bounty of the sea. Oskars lives in a typical sea-side village, but wants to break free of his father’s rule and the old ways – he dreams of new, large nets, an ice-cellar, and the fishermen’s independence from the fish wholesaler. At first, no one wants to believe in Oskars’ plans, except for happy-go-lucky Fredis. With the help of Fredis, Oskars builds a new fish trap, gaining admiration from even the old fishermen.

Meat-kun has been kidnapped by Iron Mask. In order to save Meat-kun, the treasure of Inmora Island is needed. There is a tragic history behind the painting titled The Shaman Sorceress, left in the home by a mute girl and her father. With husband and daughter by her side, Mohwa devoted her life to practicing shamanistic rites. She is rejoined by her long-estranged son, who turns out to be a converted Christian. The ensuing religious conflict between the two grows more and more intense until a tragedy strikes.

The film tells the story of fishermen in a fishing village in the South China Sea, who have suffered from exploitation by Yan Jianping, the owner of the lucrative fish pens, who has driven down fish prices.

Every year, 15,000 Czech fishermen head to Norway to fulfill their desire to fish at sea. In 1961 they came to Chile together with 500 other German sect members and for over 40 years they lived secluded from the rest of the world. The film tells about the attempt to survive as a collective after decades of crimes such as torture and murder and shows different ways in which the individual copes with the history of the community.

Life on one of the most modern submarines in the world is not for the faint of heart. The tasks of the crew push even the hardened soldiers to their limits.
