A mother's constant grumbling about her daughter-in-law's dish poisons her son's marriage bit by bit.

Salt (Sogum, 1985): A story set in Gando in the 1930s. In the film, Choi Eun-hee plays Song-ryul's wife. The family hides a wealthy Korean-Chinese merchant, and the father is killed in a fight between the Japanese police and the Chinese bandits. She believes that her husband died because of the communists.

As a British ornithologist arrives in Sicily to research the climate change effects on migration, he witnesses a series of dramatic events. Relinquishing his role of a detached observer will be more challenging than it seems.

The story is about three sisters. The youngest is chosen by Tsar Saltan to be his wife. He orders the other two sisters to be his royal cook and weaver. They become jealous of their younger sister. When the tsar goes off to war, the tsaritsa gives birth to a son, Prince Gvidon (Gvidón.) The older sisters arrange to have the tsaritsa and the child sealed in a barrel and thrown into the sea. The sea takes pity on them and casts them on the shore of a remote island, Buyan. The son, having quickly grown while in the barrel, goes hunting. He ends up saving an enchanted swan from a kite bird. The swan creates a city for Prince Gvidon to rule, but he is homesick, so the swan turns him into a mosquito to help him. In this guise, he visits Tsar Saltan's court, where he stings his aunt in the eye and escapes. Back in his realm, the swan gives Gvidon a magical squirrel. But he continues to pine for home, so the swan transforms him again, this time into a fly.

Far from the reverberations of contemporary society, the Guérande Salt Marshes have a rhythm of their own throughout the year. After winter restoration work, the mosaic of shallow salt pans are prepared, which let water circulate; combined with the effects of the sun and the wind, these allow the salt to crystallize. By the end of the process, as at the end of the film, the fine salt flower crystals float on the surface above the bigger crystals on the bottom in all directions at once.
