Many years after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, the survivors (called hibakusha in Japanese) are still physically and emotionally devastated by the event. Kuroi Ame ni Utarete tells the interlocking stories of a group of survivors who frequent Stand Akauma, a bar: Takeshi, who lost his entire family; Tomoko, a prostitute horribly burned in the bombing; her younger brother Junji, who scrabbles on the fringes of society; Eiko, a pregnant young woman whom he loves; and Yuri, another prostitute who is determined to secure a brighter future for her blind son.

Even their relationship starts changing the equilibrium. Aye Aye feels certain affection towards Tin Swe, who has been her close companion. Tin Swe persuaded her and they secretly fall in love. Through this experience, Aye Aye starts seeing herself as a woman, and finds satisfaction on doing something at the back of her parents. Their faith is about to be tested, by an encounter with a sudden rain while they are watching a movie at a cinema hall. Aye Aye has to face the reality of life, and the pain of her realization which is the uncertainty of her own future.

The story follows a small family that will be confronted by floods and landslides

A literary film based on a play in three acts, Ashad Ka Ek Din portrays the love of Mallika and Kalidasa, the renowned Sanskrit poet and dramatist. Vilom, a friend to both and interested in Mallika, is a passive onlooker for the first two acts. Kalidasa leaves his verdant mountain valley home for the splendour of far off Ujjain, where he wins fame. The action of the film is rooted in the village to which Kalidasa returns years later and finds Mallika married to Vilom and the mother of his child. Mallika sacrificed her love so that the poet could pursue his muse.

In the year 2008, Ann and Nianci are two good friends, growing up together in the small town, south of China. With the arrival of the plum-rain season, Nianci's mother came and took her to the city faraway. Ann saw the departure of her friend as a kind of betrayal. However, she could neither change the reality,nor convince her to stay. In the midst of her anger, Ann found that she could scarcely bear the absence of Nianci, so much that she developed some kind of hidden feelings for her.
