The present day: just as the Fourth Doctor and Leela arrive in Fetchborough, England, Professor Fendelman prepares to experiment on a fossilized skull which science says should not exist. The skull is actually an artefact of the Fendahl, a god-like being who feeds on the life force of others. It has begun to awaken and kill. Worse yet, others seek to exploit the Fendahl's dreadful power.

This film is a letter, a collage, a diary, a hug, an expression of the need to find in the cinema, and in images, something that helps us to continue living. It is also a contrast between the personal and the foreign, a tension that becomes an enunciation of movie piracy as a decolonial practice.

In a burlesque mode, the director tries to deflate the world (realized here by a globe), to level it, to put its three dimensions in two. To do this, he fights against the material and the ball, embraces it, lies down on it, twists and tramples it. Illusory victory or vain efforts?

DeLillo uses the documentary form to explore the relationships between gunmen and the novelist, words and images, the power of news and the obsession with apocalypse.

A retired diplomat has begun writing a historical novel about the legendary Captain Meϊtanos, who lived in the 17th century. Initially, he was a klepht (bandit), then an armatolos (member of irregular forces), then a klepht again, until finally winding up in the Ottoman hangman’s noose. Captain Meϊtanos was described by monks who lived for many years after his death, recounting his activities and passing on his story. Memories are revived; snatches of a story and mystery emerge, such as that of a holy icon painted in 1715 by the iconographer Vaϊos – an icon which adds additional color and detail to this story.

1981: at the moment the left won power, French television commissioned Godard to make a film on the theme of change. Like Lettre à Freddy Buache, this film is born of the impossibility of carrying out the commission. For the space where change appears is not the image but the gap between images.

This documentary paints a fascinating portrait of Peter Whitehead, whose largely obscure yet important body of cinematic work from the 1960s and '70s includes The Fall (1969), a film that tracks the era's social and political unrest. After chronicling the frenetic lives of counterculture icons such as the Rolling Stones and Allen Ginsberg, Whitehead set his camera aside, quietly living out his life as a potter, writer and falconer.

9/11: It was a PR stunt which killed thousands and launched a propaganda war that has, so far, lasted a decade. Since then, the US and al-Qaeda have competed furiously to win “hearts and minds” with elaborate media strategies. Spin, threats, lies, censorship, the killing of journalists; how far has each side been prepared to go to win the propaganda war?
