Avšak situace není tak jednoduchá, jelikož bratři Daltonové musí podle jeho poslední vůle zabít všechny "kojoty", kteří ho poslali na šibenici a až potom jim může být vyplacena odměna. A je tu ještě jeden háček. Na vše musí dohlížet podle jeho výslovného přání právě Lucky Luke. Daltonové tedy uprchnou jedné noci z vězení, vyhledají Lucky Luka a pustí se do posledního přání svého strýce, při jehož plnění na ně čeká spousta bláznívých komických situací.
