The poor lumberjack Ali Baba gets unexpected riches when he discovers a robber's cave full of countless treasures. Among the treasures is a jeweled vase with a genie in a bottle. When the robbers realize that they have been robbed, they swear bitter revenge. But they reckoned without the clever Ali baba and his faithful genie.

This short film tells the story of the most important cinema trend that Italy has ever produced - Neo Realism. Born after the Second World War, this veritable cultural revolution rapidly became a boundless source of inspiration for movie-makers throughout the entire world. Even today it influences those wanting to produce quality movies characterized and identified as Italian products able to be exported as well. It is precisely one of the masters of this unique current rich in different personalities who introduces the story - Carlo Lizzani - whose 'lesson' reconstructs the birth and development of Neorealism in Italy. It combined innovative movie techniques with a new view based on a 'true' interpretation of reality. Due to its high cultural value, this short film was given the highest reknown of the Presidency of the Republic of Italy.

Alibabayum 41 Kallanmaarum is a 1975 Indian Malayalam film, directed by J. Sasikumar and produced by M. J. Kurien. The film stars Prem Nazir, Jayabharathi, Bahadoor, KP Ummer, Vidhubala, Adoor Bhasi and Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair in the lead roles. The film has a musical score by G. Devarajan.

A 17th-century folk tale about four thieves trying to survive in a corrupt world during the Song Dynasty (10th-13th century) is the unusual source material for this blinding debut. The timeless sources that director Ma Lanhua mines also comprise French comedy, Chinese opera and contemporary (performance) art. Ma also utilises cinema's history, particularly the early, silent era with title cards, colours reminiscent of hand-coloured films and special effects from the arsenal of film pioneer Georges Meliès.

Zena assumes guilt over this incident because she is white. Half white and half Latina, Tita is able to reconcile her two racial identities and comfort her friend whom she loves. Reflective and insightful, Tampon Thieves gently weaves reflections on family with love between friends to tell a rich story of how queer women, and women and gay men of color are treated in a racist, homophobic, culture.

The Film is made after the motives of the same Arabian fairy tale. The main character - the woodcutter Ali-Baba casually finds a gold treasure belonging to robbers in a cave. Thanks to his cunning it relieves the population of the city of severe robbers.

Middle Eastern folktale collection One Thousand and One Nights has been greatly treasured by Western storytellers who are fascinated by the fantastic world within. The exoticism conveyed in Western film adaptations greatly appealed to Cantonese opera and film writer Ma Si-tsang, who adapted The Thief of Bagdad (1924) into Cantonese opera The Prince of Thieves, set in an ancient empire influenced by both East and West. In 1958, director Luk Bong adapted the play into a film, turning the thief of the original film into a Robin Hood-esque hero who poses as a prince to compete for the princess' hand in marriage. Packed with a thrilling treasure hunt and a damsel-in-distress rescue as well as eye-catching special effects, Prince of Thieves is 100% a romantic swashbuckler.
