The authentic cinematic documentary was filmed by Alexander Zhekov at the front during the military conflict of 1912–1913. This is the earliest film entirely created by a Bulgarian author and one of the few works in the world that fully reflect a military conflict of that time.

For two weeks I travelled the Balkans, meeting men on homosexual dating applications. We would go for coffee and then somewhere more private. I would interview them about what it is like to be a homosexual man in the Balkans. This film is a culmination of that journey and those men.

What happens when contemporary improvised music forms ties with Balkan street musicians? Tomaž Grom, a Slovenian double bassist, composer, improviser and researcher of acoustic potential, took his van and began to look for collaborators on the streets of Maribor, Zagreb, Tuzla, Novi Sad, Priština, Tirana and Skopje. Balkan Baroque is a real and imaginary biography of the Yugoslavian performance artist Marina Abramovic. Rather than a mechanical reproduction of the artist's work, the film tries to create a new reality by translating the performances into cinematographic images that intensify the fictional context of the film. Abramovic plays herself, but ,appearing in multiple forms, blurs her own identity. Memories and fantasies intermingle with day to day rituals. The chronological narrative often breaks to reflect the interior voyage of the protagonist from the present to the past and back to the present. The result is a visually impressive film. Balkan Baroque had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, 1999.

In Serbia one can cross the «European Sahara», a desert covering a surface of 30.000 hectares.
