Christina (Claudia Karvan) is a school teacher from a wealthy Greek-Australian background, engaged to a lawyer and content with the traditional course of her life. She begins teaching at an inner-city working-class school and she finds her ideas challenged by the students. Involving herself in a campaign by a group of non-anglo students to form a soccer club in a school where the racist PE teacher only supports Australian Rules Football, Christina starts falling in love with aspiring soccer player, 17 year old Nick (Alex Dimitriades). The ensuing affair forces Christina to challenge herself, her family and the culture she lives in. Managing to effectively combine comedy with a refreshing examination of contemporary ethnic relationships in Australia, beautifully acted by a young cast, and insightfully scripted.

Narrator David Marshall Grant received an Emmy nomination for his work on the film. The film explores the Kid's wild life, the Lincoln County War, his team, and other issues.

The early 90s, Colombia. The government tries to combat drug trafficking with extradition laws. Maruja Pachón and Beatriz Villamizar - the wife and sister of congressman Alberto Villamizar - are kidnapped by the Extraditables. The police begin a search for clues that could help them close in on the kidnappers, and Alberto joins the operation to rescue his family.

Who Are the DeBolts? And Where Did They Get Nineteen Kids? is a 1977 documentary film about Dorothy and Bob DeBolt, an American couple who have adopted 14 children, some of whom are severely disabled war orphans. VHS and DVD releases use the shortened title Who Are the DeBolts?

The film was narrated by Henry Winkler, who also served as executive producer, and won an Academy Award for Best Feature-length Documentary in 1978, as well as the Directors Guild of America Award and the Humanitas Award for producer and director John Korty in 1979. A 50-minute version of the film shown on ABC in December, 1978, earned a 1979 Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement - Informational Program and an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Informational Program for Winkler, Korty, and producers Warren Lockhart and Dan McCann. A sequel, Steppin' Out: The DeBolts Grow Up, was made in 1980 with Kris Kristofferson as host and narrator. The DVD edition typically includes the 46-minute sequel as a featurette. The family was also the subject of a book, 19 Steps Up The Mountain: The Story of The DeBolt Family, by Joseph P. Blank.

The Kid America Club is an unconventional variety show that first started its sporadic broadcasts in 2002 on Manhattan Neighborhood Network Public-access television cable TV in New York City. In an interview with The Hour, Third Base, one of the primary characters, stated that the show "is about cartoons and acting crazy, and Frankie and Third Base, and Caruthers".

The show centers on the character called Frankie, who lives in a small apartment in New York. His over-active imagination helps him cope with his boring life as a comic book writer. A grumpy, green monster called Third Base shares the apartment with Frankie. They watch fictional television shows including" A Better Tomorrow" - a soap opera set in post-apocalyptic New York featuring Donald Cumming - "Space Fight!" a star farce, and "TV-Plus Action News" featuring a reporter called Demurgatroid. Third Base's favorite show "Lil' Hipsters", a sitcom featuring a cast of hand-puppets.

Frank Sisti Jr. who plays the character "Frankie" has described the show as similar to Sesame Street. Members of the Kid America Club include Frank Sisti Jr., Jeffrey Roberts, George Psillides, and Keir Kramlich, who began as an intern.
