A broken-down cowboy applies for work at one of the Western ranches. The boss agrees to hire the wanderer provided he can ride an unmanageable horse. He consents, rides the horse and gets the job. In accomplishing this "stunt," he arouses the jealousy of the foreman, for the latter learns that the ranchman's daughter has seen the new-comer subdue the wild animal and is beginning to fall in love with him. To prevent this the villain accuses his rival of many misdeeds, but in the end is a victim of his own folly.

A valuable show horse, transported from France, arrives at Pine Hollow, the horse s mysterious owner to arrive later. Amidst all the excitement, Carol begins to believe that her friends in The Saddle Club have forgotten her birthday. When the champion event horse (Hugo) escapes Carol, Stevie & Lisa take it upon themselves to help find him. The girls do find Hugo, unveil their surprise birthday party for Carol, and learn that the horse s owner is none other than French dressage champion, Dorothee Doutey. Six months ago she fell in competition breaking her pelvis, but more importantly, breaking her self-confidence and shattering her relationship with horses and Hugo. Dorothee becomes the riding instructor at Pine Hollow, but the lessons she learns from the Saddle Club girls heal her emotional wounds.

Lisa takes a beautiful, but violent, foster horse named Storm to be rehabilitated at Pine Hollow. Storm has been abused and, having not responded to previous training, is scheduled to be put down. Stevie and Carol notice that Drew seems more than preoccupied with Pine Hollow operations, but are even more concerned that Lisa is heading for an emotional fall if efforts to re-train Storm are unsuccessful. When Stevie & Carol are cleaning up Drew's office they discover the source of his concern: bank loans are due and Pine Hollow is in deep financial straits. With the banker demanding payment, Red decides to sell the surrounding land and riding trails. The Saddle Club girls must help save Pine Hollow and the magnificent horse, Storm.

Jim Brandon, foreman of the Wind River Ranch, owned by Martin Stavnow, is in love with Ronnie, the rancher's daughter, though he is unaware that Harvey, a youthful cowhand, also loves her. Thus, Jim asks the boy, whom he protects like a brother, to speak for him. When he is spurned by Ronnie, Harvey decides to join Red Slade's gang, who are plotting a raid on the Wind River herd. As Jim forcibly attempts to separate him from the gang, Harvey is killed; and through the aid of his horse, Tarzan, Jim foils Slade's attempt to stampede the herd. Slade takes refuge in a wagon where Ronnie is hiding; Jim rescues Ronnie from the wagon just before the runaway team plunges over a cliff with Slade riding to his doom.

Matthew Barney, in a harness suspended from the ceiling, leaps around a room and lowers himself onto gobs of petroleum jelly.

Suryakantham gets kidnapped by Tilak's enemies. The rest of the movie is about how Tilak saves her.
