PULL FOCUS: GASOMETER shows how illusion and reality are interchangeable. It is engaged with ideas around movement and stillness, and with the different ways that a work of art can be both experienced in time and in turn can represent time. Lewis‘ work highlights, through film, that what is always present in a great pictorial work of art is a depiction embedded in a complex relationship to time.

After an accident involving a gun on the set of a B-movie leaves the 1ST AC position vacant, 2ND AC and boy-next-door Charlie Dunlap gets promoted. This places him squarely in the sights of the film's starlet Becca Mustaine. Becca, once a household name as a child has since aged into a recovering addict, quickly steals what keeps Charlie tethered to reality. With no medication to rely on and breaking his heart by continuing her affair with the films director, Charlie tries to keep it together but can't. With no one to help he finally succumbs to his hallucinations. Because in this allegory, and much like our world, the singular attempts of a madman to quiet his demons are never enough.

Experimental short by Maki Satake.

Developed by Rob Pincus, the Combat Focus Shooting (CFS) approach breaks the mold of most contemporary defensive shooting programs. Acclaimed by countless law enforcement, military, and private shooting groups worldwide, the CFS program provides the most consistent and efficient means possible to “significantly affect the target’s ability to present a lethal threat.” In this video, Rob leads you through the foundational principles of Combat Focus Shooting, emphasizing defensive training which incorporates the body’s natural reactions to a perceived threat, including an ambush. You will observe actual range training of students learning Combat Focus Shooting and you will learn along with them how the concepts of Consistency and Efficiency translate into defensive shooting techniques that shooters of any level can master.

In “World in Focus,” the screen becomes the two-dimensional support of an amazingly versatile three-dimensional object (an atlas) which contains in turn two-dimensional pictures of other three-dimensional objects. The uniform use of a close-up lens creates often ambiguous or nearly unidentifiable images (from the atlas), emphasizing the rhythms, volumes, angles and movements obtained from the handling of the book.

Three CDs and a Blu-ray celebrate the 50th anniversary of Focus by documenting in the first three discs (two audio and one video) the concert that the Dutch group held in 2017 at the Theatro Municipal Niteroi in Rio de Janeiro: the leader and founder Thijs van Leer (keyboards, flute and vocals), long-time drummer Pierre van der Linden, guitarist and backing vocalist Menno Gootjes (rejoined in 2010 after a brief appearance in the late 90s) and bassist Udo Pannekeet (in the group since 2016 ) retrace the fundamental stages of the historic prog rock formation such as "House of the King", "Eruption", "Sylvia", "Harem Scarem" and "Hocus Pocus". The bonus disc titled "Completely Focussed", on the other hand, contains twelve untitled tracks that the band recorded during the lockdown.
