Biography

Robert "Rob" Ryder is a former American actor, stuntman, author and Sports consultant in movies. He is best known for his work in Walter Hill's Cult Classic The Warriors. Ryder started off as a production assistant for the movie but was soon cast as the purple Baseball Fury after Stuntman Steve Chambers suffered a broken kneecap once Director Walter Hill learned Ryder played Basketball at Princton University. He also was cast as One of the Punks. He went onto work in films like Eddie, The 6th man, and White Man Can't jump as a Basketball consultant. He is married and has two children.
