Biography

Arizona's Filmmaker of the Year and deemed a "prolific genre filmmaker" by the LA Times, (Noel Murray, April 2019) Brian Skiba is a Director, Producer, and a Writer of feature films for Screen and Television since 2009. Graduating with a B.A. in English from Arizona State University, Brian fulfilled his passion for storytelling by co-writing and directing, Blood Moon Rising (2010). Distributed by Entertainment One, the horror comedy found great success in the Zombie genre, so much so, that Brian was asked to direct the thriller, Dirty Little Trick (2011), starring Dean Cain and Michael Madsen, and that film premiered as a Showtime Original.

Since 2012, Brian has produced, directed and/or written twenty-two feature films, all of them premiering on Prime Time TV or in the theaters. In 2017, Brian directed the fast-paced female empowerment fight movie, Chokehold. That same year he directed a Grindhouse Horror Comedy Rottentail, based on a graphic novel by the same name, and published by Source Point Press. The film was released into select theaters and garnered sold-out crowds. It was also accepted into a slew of international film festivals.

Most recently Brian directed, My Adventures with Santa starring Barbara Eden, Denise Richards and Patrick Muldoon for Universal Studios and has a theatrical release Christmas 2019. Universal Studios was so happy with the film they've asked him to write and direct Christmas Castle (2020). Brian's favorite quote from the highly regarded Director, Alfred Hitchcock is, "To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script."
