Biography

Gary England is the chief meteorologist at Oklahoma City's CBS affiliate KWTV, a position he has held since 1972. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in mathematics and meteorology and is an internationally recognized authority in severe weather. Gary holds the distinction of being the person who implemented with Enterprise Electronics, the world's first commercial Doppler radar, and in 1981, he became the first person in history to use Doppler radar for direct warnings to the public. With his offbeat humor and folksy personality, Gary has a cult-like following in Oklahoma. There's even a Gary England drinking game for use during severe weather coverage. - IMDb Mini Biography
