Ten years ago, the World Tree that protected peace and order of the world was being targeted by an evil organization called the Zakum. The Human race led four other races: the brave warriors, the intelligent magicians, the agile archers and the sly thieves in a fight against the Zakums. In the end, the World Tree activated self-destruction to protect itself. However, the other races thought it was the Human race that destroyed the World Tree. When the World Tree was destroyed most of the races had nothing left, so a number of them went to Maple Island thinking the ones who stayed would die. They escaped Victoria and lived on Maple Island where living is getting harder and harder. Since then, a never-ending war between the different races began.

Ten years later, the main protagonist, Al, is determined to revive the World Tree. Al and his companions begin their journey to seek the seeds of the World Tree. At the same time, the Zakums reappear…

Shunta, a boy who loves Battle Spirits, is led by a card and called to the “Spirits World” in another dimension. Eto, the priestess who summoned Shunta, warns of the Spirits World’s demise due to the evil God-King’s resurrection. In order to stop it, she says they must bring back together the twelve God-Kings for their powers. Joined by Yoku Albatrosa, a boy summoned from another dimension, Shunta is led by Eto on a journey to find the twelve God-Kings who are scattered throughout the world.

In the near future, a battle card game called "Battle Spirits" has gained enormous popularity. Players of the game--known as "Battlers"--start battles everywhere using their color-coded cards with different attributes, creating a "Warring States Period" for the game.

Young wife Sakiko is arrested for the murder of her husband. Despite her claim of innocence, that claim is not heard. Sakiko escapes and chases the real criminal who killed her husband. Her only clue is a sight of a tattoo on the murderers back. Sakiko hides in the city at night to find the real culprit. Offering her body to see the back of the men she seeks out, Sakiko must uncover the truth to the murder of her husband before it is too late.

Shu Tajimage happens to meet Fumiyo Bessho, a former high school senior, by chance. He is a popular guy with many girlfriends. But he has to end these relationships out of necessity. After hearing his story, Fumiyo unintentionally mutters that this situation is exactly like Osamu Dazai's unfinished novel 'Goodbye'. Shu is moved by the queer coincidence.

Akitsu Wataru is the manager of the Toyama branch of Maruo Holdings, an established major supermarket chain. He is demoted as a result of some incident and moves to the countryside with his family. However, one day, Akitsu is recalled to headquarters as the head of the compliance unit. The CEO and board members have hidden ulterior motives. Various harassment issues happen within the company. Akitsu solves them with novel ideas and methods.

When the clock in the school building strikes midnight, the campus will become "a school for yokais" that cannot be seen with human eyes. Tanaka Kazuo is a human high school student with no friends who is bullied by his classmates. He feels miserable and lonely, believing that he doesn't belongs anywhere. However eveything changes when he discovers the existence of the yokai realm. Hoping to make some friends and to start a new life, he enrolls himself in the school and lies saying that he is a very rare mixed-race yokai called "Tanaka Ichiotoko", despiste the fact that he looks like an ordinary human being. Tanaka's new supernatural classmates are full of surprises, and can't help but suspect of his true nature.
