A história gira em torno dos Mushis ("Mushi" é uma palavra japonesa para insecto), criaturas que possuem poderes sobrenaturais. Os Mushis são descritos como sendo a essência da vida, sendo as criaturas mais básicas e puras. A maioria dos humanos comuns não os podem ver ou sentir Poucos são os que possuem essa capacidade. O protagonista Ginko, um caçador de Mushis (Mushishi) que viaja de lugar em lugar no Japão feudal, em busca de Mushis que estejam a causar problemas aos humanos.

Mushishi é uma série de manga e anime de fantasia histórica. O manga original é desenhado por Yuki Yoshiyama sob o pseudónimo de Yuki Urushibara. Ao todo foram publicados 50 capítulos na revista mensal Afternoon, compilados em 10 volumes no Japão. O anime foi dirigido por Hiroshi Nagahama, com 26 episódios. A série usou algumas técnicas diferentes para um anime, pois cada episódio possui uma história distinta.

After moving into the quiet town of Hinamizawa, Maebara Keiichi spends his days blissfully in school often playing games with his local friends. However, appearances can be deceiving. SMAP×SMAP was an ongoing weekly Japanese variety show on Kansai TV and Fuji TV starring the members of SMAP. The show began on April 15, 1996 and it aired from 22:00 to 22:54 every Monday. The show's usual ratings were higher than 20%, which is considered high since most variety shows range from 10-20%.

Each episode begins a variety of skits, comedic performances, and/or games.  These are followed by Bistro SMAP, in which the SMAP members compete against each other to impress celebrity judges with their gourmet cooking.  Last is a musical performance by SMAP which may include celebrity guests, as well.

Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO) é a continuação de outro mangá de Tohru Fujisawa chamado Shounan Jun-ai Gumi onde Onizuka faz um papel de delinqüente junto a seu melhor amigo, Ryuji. No mangá de GTO o autor decidiu deixa Onizuka como protagonista de um personagem inesperado, de professor. O anime começa um pouco mais tarde sendo Onizuka professor desde o inicio, a serie conta com 43 episódios. Como foi uma série de grande sucesso no Japão, também foi feita um Jdrama com atores reais.
