Discuss Stagecoach

When I first saw Stagecoach, it was as if I've seen the film before. I seemed to have caught up a whole lot of references during my humble years of consuming pop culture. One example would be Morris' Lucky Luke comics which tend to cite John Ford films all over the place.

While I recognize Stagecoach's importance as an influential film in the Western genre, I don't enjoy it very much. The filmmaking feels somehow primitive and crude to me. I much prefer Red River, The Searchers, High Noon, or The Oxbow Incident.
