If you don't feel old yet, how about the fact that Above the Law part one was made over thirty years ago. Anywho, I believe it was part one which popularized Steven Seagal's girly running and chopstick Aikido fighting. If you've seen the guy perform lately....well....I don't think there is going to be much running or high octane fighting in this sequel.

Oh dear god please yes! I would kill to see Seagal make a come back, lose that weight and get back into shape for a crazy come back. Course that probably wont happen but we can dream.

The last Seagal film I bothered with was Ticker (2001) and even then he was overweight and not doing his own fight scenes. I remember obvious cuts to close ups of someone else's arms. Having just looked the film up, I now see why it seemed so disjointed! Apparently it featured lots of bits from other films.

As fun as some of Seagal's early stuff was I can't see him being even vaguely credible in an action role these days and, given the accusations against him, surely he's a bit toxic?

I LOVE THE DUDE.HE NEEDS TO FIND LESS ACTION-CENTRIC ROLES.STILL ASS KICKING BUT WITH A MORE SERIOUS EDGE...THINK MEL GIBSON IN BLOOD FATHER,JACKIE CHAN IN THE FOREIGNER ...LIAM NEESON IN ANYTHING.

Seagal's always been an odd bird among the 80's action mega stars. Guys like Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren were actually guys who were in pretty good condition and looked like they could actually fight. Seagal on the other hand....even in his prime he was never in very good condition and was always pretty skinny and weakly looking until he got fat. I suppose there was a reason he why wore coats and long shirts even back then. Still, his fight scenes were fun back in the 80's and 90's and at least he looked menacing back then and they always presented him as a completely unstoppable killing machine. There's always been rumors that he is a bit of a douchebag and with his ego I could never see him doing any real sparring.

I've always found it rather humorous that Seagal runs like a girl.

DUDE MIGHT BE FAT AND RUN FUNNY...BUT YOU WOULD NOT WANT HIM COMING IN YOUR FRONT DOOR...SANDWICH SEAGAL WILL TAKE YOUR ASS DOWN.

He is too lazy to shed weight. He makes any opportunity to do his scenes in his Straight-to-DVD movies sitting down, and lets a stunt double to do virtually ANY scene for him where his face is not required to be on camera.

Will just not happen
