Discuss Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

The title should either be Honey, I Shrank the Kids or Honey, I've Shrunk the Kids.

"Think different."

The Grand Ole Opry called.

They want their English teacher back.

I will concede that a scientific, engineering type of inventor might be expected to have better command of the language...but I've met enough scientific, engineering type people to know that that expectation is not highly realistic and, in the scenario of this movie, the comfortable, colloquial approach is more accessible to the target audience.

It's a silly feel-good family movie, not a dissertation or grad level lecture.

It may be grammatically incorrect, but it is generally accepted because it is the title of a creative work. Artistic license entitles the creator to title his/her work any way he/she pleases.

Right?! You mean, like Pet Sematary, or The Pursuit of Happyness, or...??

Yeah, I think we're done here.

Good point, I've never thunk about it though. ;)

And that's not the only 'accepted' change.
