Discuss Anatomy of a Murder

This thoroughly gripping film has to be among the best of all courtroom movies, never losing its grip for nearly three hours and full of twists, turns and beautifully-drawn characters. Some splendid performances, including James Stewart in one of his greatest roles, spouting language one would never expect to hear from his lips, and superb support by Ben Gazzara, Lee Remick, Arthur O'Connell, Eve Arden and a young George C. Scott. All that talk of rape, sperm and panties must have really tested the censors back in 1959 - yet this film has barely dated at all, and remains a thoroughly immersive experience. Very highly recommended, one of the best films of a great year. 9/10

Could not agree more, absolutely top drawer and had me doing double takes that this dialogue was from the 50s. A very rare 9/10 from me. Stewart and C. Scott were particularly outstanding. Absolutely up there with 12 Angry Men.

I like this fella on YouTube and this was his take on the film.

Totally agree, excellent movie with mature dialog and subject matter handled very tastefully. I also gave it a 9/10.
