Woody Woodpecker is driving through the countryside and is, shall we say, not a stickler for the rules. He's practically asking for trouble when he confronts a traffic cop who explains he is looking for speeders. Woody reveals himself to be a speeder by driving to Alaska and back in less than a minute. The cop tries to arrest him but Woody states, "I bet ya wouldn't be so tough without that uniform." The officer undresses but Woody attacks him with a boxing glove camera. Woody also gets his goat by dressing as a farmer on horse-and-buggy and as a Chinaboy with rickshaw. Finally, the cop flips out and is sent to a mental hospital with Woody as his caretaker.

Woody Woodpecker conduit à travers la campagne et n’est pas, dirons-nous, pointilleux pour les règles. Il demande pratiquement des ennuis quand il affronte un flic de la circulation qui explique qu’il cherche des speeders. Woody se révèle être un speeder en allant en Alaska et en revenant en moins d’une minute. Le flic essaie de l’arrêter mais Woody dit, "Je parie que tu ne serais pas si dur sans cet uniforme." L’officier se déshabille mais Woody l’attaque avec une caméra de gant de boxe. Woody obtient également sa chèvre en s’habillant comme un fermier sur cheval-et-buggy et comme un Chinaboy avec un pousse-pousse. Finalement, le flic fait volte-face et est envoyé dans un hôpital psychiatrique avec Woody comme gardien.
