Discuss The Lion King

I know it's stupid. Of course they have to eat other animals, otherwise they'd die. But there are some things the viewers simply wouldn't think about unless they're mentioned.

I'd have no problem with it if the movie was a realistic portrayal of animals. But of course it isn't, since the animals talk and think like humans. I'm just not very comfortable with the fact that our heroes murder numerous sentient beings in cold blood.

Just remember the effect Mufasa's death had on Simba. Well, Simba and Mufasa both caused numerous young animals to go through exactly that. I know they had no choice, but they showed absolutely no remorse. If I had to kill someone for whatever reason, I think I'd be traumatised.

Also, I find it very strange that all the animals love and respect Simba and Mufasa. I mean, would you forgive someone for killing a family member, even if they had a very good reason?
