The first "killer Santa" movie!

Just wanted to give this movie props for being the first true "killer Santa" flick.
Sure, Tales from the Crypt (1972) has a segment with a killer Claus, but it's an anthology film, so it doesn't really qualify.

There was another movie that year, "Christmas Evil (1980)", but not as good, bloody or scary, and you already know from the beginning who the Santa is.
