Discuss The Omen

I don't get why the people who helped Damien's birth were priests. Like aren't priests supposed to be good people? Example why would a priest help bring the son of the devil into the world??? Then he's all burned up and living in a monetary ?

And was the nanny always evil? Did she come to the house evil? Or did she become evil after spending time with Damien?

I guess they were evil people disguised as priests maybe.

Been a while since I saw this.

The priests/monks were not evil, they weren't trying to bring the son of the devil into the world- they knew he was coming and tried to stop him/ kill him- that's how he got all burned.

The nanny was always evil- always a minion for evil.

That sanctuary they were staying at and the burns make more sense.

I guess the nanny could be the whore of Babylon and was welcoming his triumphant rise to power

@Strannger18 ,

when did you last see the movie?

The nanny was not the the whore of Babylon, she was not at all/no where near that powerful.

" The Whore of Babylon or Babylon the Great is a symbolic female figure and also place of evil mentioned in the Book of Revelation in the Bible. Her full title is given as "Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes and Abominations of the Earth." Wikipedia

also the whore of Babylon is DEROGATORY for the Roman Catholic Church.
