But that's just me.

The only film by Kaurismäki I've ever seen. I didn't find it to be especially depressing, but it damn sure wasn't very funny. I mean there was like one line that had humor to it, to my memory, and I didn't laugh at it.

Woahhh This was supposed to be a comedy?

Yea! On the movie's page, under genres, it says comedy and drama. Strange, isn't it?

I saw this when it was in the theaters (of course in very limited release -art house flik) and I am certain that I did not go in thinking it was supposed to be a comedy. I thought (possibly based on a critic's review) that it was somewhat of a different take on Hans Christen Andersen's "The Little Match Girl." Which is not funny.
