Discuss Once Upon a Time in Anatolia

I saw this movie a few years ago and was so mesmerised by it. It perfectly captures the difference in atmosphere between day and night... I especially loved the first part of the movie, that takes place during the night.

The whole movie is rather slow and long, but that never bothered me during the first part. However, I think I would've liked this movie a lot better if the second part (that takes place during the day) had been shorter. I did like the contrast with the first part, but I thought it dragged on for too long.

i liked the pace of the second half... seemed to be faster than the first..

The nighttime part was eye catching to say the least and the characters were developed well. Daytime was more procedural and somber. Altogether it worked well as a film, Ceylan is a such a rewarding director. I didn't have a plane to catch so the running time was fine as it always is for anything I like.
