Can someone explain the ending...

Hi there @MongoLloyd . The one who actually died in the car accident was him, not her, and everything that happened in the movie wasn't real life, he was inside the Archive. The movie ends when his time on the Archive runs out.

Thanks Nacho Sueiro, I didn't even understand the ending ... a film so cumbersome and slow that it is difficult to stay awake until the end.
